Internship Market Analyst Germany
Internship Market Analyst Germany
Fulltime | Amsterdam, NL | On-site | German speaking
It’s time to cross borders. After a year and a half of building our claim service in the Netherlands, we now help over 120,000 train passengers each month and process more than 700,000 train journeys per month. Now, it’s time to expand across Europe.
While the Netherlands has one of the most punctual rail networks in Europe, the surrounding countries present a huge opportunity. In Germany alone, the train delay claim market is roughly 50 times larger than in the Netherlands.
That’s why we’re looking for an intern to join our team and help bring Trein-vertraging.nl to the rest of Europe. You’ll work closely with Michael (Tech) and Daan (Commercial) on projects that directly contribute to our international rollout: from automation and data research to local market setup.
It’s a fast-moving, hands-on environment where you’ll learn a lot, take ownership early, and see your work make a real impact.
Can you thrive in a startup culture and want to be part of our European expansion from day one? Apply now!
What you’ll do
Deep dive into the German railway system: research compensation rules, passenger rights, operators, and market structure.
Collect data and test eligibility logic on real journeys to see what’s claimable, when, and how.
Analyze competitors to understand how they handle delay claims in Germany.
Translate your research into clear, actionable specs for our developers.
Work closely with Michael (Engineering Lead) to turn insights into a working product.
You’ll know every detail of the local market, and we’ll build based on your input.
Who you are
A Master’s or Bachelor’s student in Business & IT (or a related field).
A native German speaker currently living in the Netherlands (Amsterdam office).
Analytical and curious: you enjoy digging into documents, regulations, and data to uncover insights.
Tech-savvy: you can read API documentation, structure datasets, and explain workflows (no coding required).
Startup-minded: proactive, hands-on, and not afraid to take ownership.
Ambitious: this is a springboard internship, where you start as a Market Analyst and can grow into Product, Sales, or Business roles.
What we offer
Internship compensation: €500 per month (depending on hours).
Full-time (32–40h) in our Amsterdam office. Our office is located in the heart of the city. Easy accessible by public transport.
Close mentorship from Michael (Tech) and Daan (Commercial): you’ll learn directly from the founders.
Real responsibility in a European growth mission with plenty of room to experiment and learn.
A young, entrepreneurial team with short lines, fast feedback, and visible impact.
The chance to grow with us and possibly transition into a full-time role.
